I am Carol Nelson, the Director of The Trinity School. I am a retired public school teacher with 30 years experience teaching children. I am married to Charles and have two grown children, Charlie (tenor extraordinaire) and Nena Claire (paramedic supreme). I am a singer, clarinetist, avid flower lover, and famous (I wish!) for my cross stitching, sewing, and crocheting. To say I have a skein or two of yarn would be an understatement!!! Working at The Trinity School has been such a blessing for me. I LOVE TTS!!
My husband Joe and I moved to Cartersville Thanksgiving of ‘19 and I found Trinity Preschool soon afterwards. I am so thankful to be on Trinity’s staff teaching our outstanding two-year-olds! We are busy learning to be kind friends, taking turns and sharing along with the rigor of learning our colors, shapes, numbers, days of the week, and pledge! Our most important lessons center around how much God loves us!
Sarah Tant is in her second year of teaching the three-year-olds. In the past, she taught high school English and adult ESOL, and she has tutored children of all ages for many years. She uses art, crafts, music, books, and games in her class. She enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, sudoku, and spending time with her family.
I am Miss Ana, and this is my second year teaching one of the wonderful 3-year-old classes. I love being a part of the kids’ lives and watching them grow throughout the year. We have lots of fun with our arts and crafts, letters, numbers, and of course, learning to share! In my free time, I enjoy reading books, watching movies, and singing for my church.
Hi, I am Ms. Deborah! I teach Pre-K and have been a preschool teacher for over 30 years. I am a happily married mother to three wonderful daughters. I enjoy the opportunity to help shape a child’s life and see them grow each year. In my time off, I enjoy visiting the mountains, working in my garden and watching my grandchildren play sports.
Hi! I’m Tanya Mims. I have been married to Gregory Mims, Jr. for 30 years and have two daughters, Sierra (22), and Desiree’ (20). We have a pet turtle named Turnip.
My husband and I are ex-Air Force and have traveled quite a bit. I have a master’s degree in education and technology and have been teaching for 19 years. I am so happy to be with the kindergarteners at TTS! My goal is to not only teach my students what they need to know to be successful in first grade, but to get to know them personally and help them feel comfortable in their classroom environment. Let’s go, “Kindies!”
